Jos- Justice Daniel Longji of the High Court 5 sitting in Jos
has ordered the remand of the former Governor of Plateau
State, Senator Jonah Jang to prison custody pending the
ruling in his bail application which has been adjourned to
Thursday next week.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC is
arraigning the former Governor alongside Yusuf Pam, a
former Cashier in the Office of the Secretary to the State
Government on a 12 count charge bordering on breach of
trust, criminal conspiracy, diversion, misappropriation,
dishonesty in respect of monies running in N6.3bn.
Taking their pleas, both accused pleaded not guilty to the
charges preferred against them and their Lead Counsel,
Robert Clarke, SAN applied for their bail on self recognition
especially for Jang who had been both military and civilian
Governor at different times and a serving Senator.
