KATSINA – Governor Aminu Bello Masari of
Katsina State says Nigeria has lost one of the
last standing patriot with the death of the
Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, Alhaji
Ibrahim Coomassie who passed away on
    Thursday evening.
    Ibrahim Coomassie
Governor Masari stated this in a
statement issued to newsmen by his
Senior Special Assistant on Media, Abdu
    Labaran Malumfashi.
The Governor said that Coomassie served the
    nation with distinction.
He however expressed profound sadness over
the death of former Inspector General of Police
    and Sardaunan Katsina, Alhaji Ibrahim
    Coomassie.
According to the statement, “the Governor said
in the death of the former Inspector General of
Police, IGP, who was also the Chairman of the
Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), the Nigeria has
lost one of its last standing patriots who served
    the nation with distinction.
“The Governor described the former IG as a
    highly patriotic, disciplined, reliable and
    committed Nigerian whose invaluable counsel
would seriously be missed by both Katsina
State, Northern Nigeria and the nation in general.
“Katsina State has lost a son that everybody
was proud to be associated with. He was a true
patriot who had little time for anything other the
pursuit of advancing the interest of Nigeria.
“Whatever assignments he was given he
pursued them with a messianic zeal that would
    only abates with success.
“Alhaji Ibrahim Commassie has left a vacuum
that will take time to fill. It is my sincere hope
that other leaders will strive to emulate him”.
While condoning the Emir of Katsina and the
immediate family of the deceased, the Governor
prayed to Allah to forgive him all his
shortcomings and make paradise his final
resting place, even as he also prayed to Allah to
grant the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss
