Lagos City College Yaba will today take Ikosi on Senior High
School in one of the semi-final matches of the senior boy’s
category of the on-going season 4 of the annual Opeifa All
Lagos Secondary Schools Handball championship holding at
the Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba, Lagos while Nawa-Ru-
Deen Senior High School battles the winner of the last
quarter final game between Birrel Avenue Senior High School
    and Islamia Senior Secondary School.
In the quarter-final matches, Ikosi boys defeated White Sand
    School 14 – 12 to cruise into today’s semi-final while Lagos
City College beat Aiyetoro Senior Grammer School 12 – 10 to
book their semi-final ticket as well. Also victorious is Nawa-
Ru-Deen that sent out the defending champions, Arch
Deacon Adelaja Senior School by beating them 14 – 10 in one
    of the quarter–final games yesterday.
In the women category of the championship, Herbert
Macaulay Senior Girls High School would engage CMS Girls
Grammer School in the first semi-final clash while Jagumolu
Senior Grammar School will lock horns with Birrel Avenue
    Senior High School.
To get to today’s semi-finals, Herbert Macaulay yesterday
outscored Apapa Senior High School 4 – 2 while Jagumolu
beat Surulere Senior Girls School 4 -2 as well. CMS Girls
Grammer School defeated Aiyetoro Senior Grammer School 4
    – 2 also in another trilling quarter-final encounter.
Birrels Girls beat Wesley Girls to move into the semi-finals.
The junior boys and girls are still slugging it ant in the
quarter-final stage at the time of this report as they had
more preliminary matches to play unlike the Senior category.
